Welcome to the Comparative Neuroimmunology & Neuro-oncology Laboratory

The Comparative Neuroimmunology and Neuro-oncology Laboratory is located at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University.  Our mission is to better understand the interactions between the immune system and the central and peripheral nervous systems, particularly as they apply to brain tumors and inflammatory brain disease.  An overarching goal of our research is to improve diagnostic testing and therapeutic options for veterinary patients with these diseases.  In addition, these animals provide unique, spontaneous models to study related human diseases, which are very similar or identical in many cases.
